China Advanced Construction Materials Group — let us call it CACM for short — has announced that it will be the major provider of concrete for the new French embassy, which is being built in the new diplomatic zone in the Chaoyang District of Beijing. The complex will house the largest French embassy in the world and is expected to open in 2011.
China ACM, founded in 2002, is headquartered in Beijing, China. The company is primarily focused on producing and supplying a wide range of advanced ready-mix concrete materials for highly technical, large scale, and environmental construction projects.
The company supplied concrete at the Olympic Games for the "Birds Nest Stadium" (seen in our illustration) and the "Water Cube" Chinese National Swimming Center.
Proactive Investors quotes China ACM Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Xianfu Han: "The embassy will be part of a new compound that will house all French diplomatic services in a single location."
