A survey by the US-based lobbying group the Business Travel Coalition found that 27 per cent of 180 corporations surveyed had banned travel to Asian countries. Of those, all had stopped travel to Hong Kong, while 82 per cent were no longer travelling to mainland China. Another 8 per cent were considering banning trips to China.
A survey by the International Security Management Association of senior corporate security officer members found that most had either banned visits to the Asia-Pacific or were only allowing 'essential' trips.
