Shandong Higher People’s Court on Wednesday announced that it will hear the appeal of Bo Xilai, the official Xinhua News Agency reported. Bo was sentenced to life imprisonment at the beginning of September for bribery, embezzlement and abuse of power. Bo, who was tipped to reach the summit of Chinese politics before his downfall, was tried at Jinan Intermediate People’s Court in Shandong province. His appeal will be heard by a higher court.
