The Third Plenary Session of the 16th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) opened in Beijing on Saturday.
During the four-day meeting, the 24-member Politburo will report for the first time to the lower-ranked Central Committee and the plenum will consider two revisions to China's constitution.
The CPC is expected to incorporate former President Jiang Zemin's "Theory of the Three Represents" in the constitution as well as a clause guaranteeing private property rights.
