The death toll from a gas blast in a mine in China's northern Hebei province has risen to 90 after the discovery of three more bodies, state media reported. Eighteen miners are still missing. Hopes were fading for 42 workers who have been trapped since the Sigou mine in Xin'an county, Henan province, flooded last Friday. As many as 20,000 miners are killed in accidents every year, according to some observers.
