Decline in output at Daqing field

Petro China's oil
and gas output in the first half of 2003 was up 2.1 per cent year-on- year. China's largest oil
company produced 386.4m barrels of oil, up 0.6 per cent, and 349.6bn cubic feet of gas, an
increase of 13.5 per cent. Domestic oil output actually fell 0.3 per cent to 383m barrels, with
its output at Daqing foIling by more than 1m barrels. Associate firm Des on Energy
produced 3.4m barrels in Indonesia.
