Ousted Chinese politician Bo Xilai denied some of the bribery charges brought against him Thursday during his first day of trial in the city of Jinan, Reuters reported. The disgraced princeling, who was accused of bribery, embezzlement and abuse of power, put up a feisty defence during the hearing, saying he was coerced into making a false confession to alleged wrongdoings.
