Lenovo poached two of rival Dell's top Asia executives, including the head of its China business, the Wall Street Journal reported. David D. Miller, former president of Dell China, has been named Lenovo's Asia-Pacific president while Dell's corporate director for Japan, Sotaro Amano, is to become president of Lenovo Japan. Miller and Amano are following in the footsteps of their former Dell Asia-Pacific boss Bill Amelio, who was named Lenovo CEO in December. Lenovo recorded a marginal profit last quarter, strong sales in China and India offsetting the ongoing restructuring costs at the IBM's PC business, which Lenovo bought in 2005.
