Delphi announced it plans to quadruple auto parts sourcing volume in China by 2007. In 2003, Delphi sourced components worth US$247 million and said it projected that amount to rise to US$1 billion by 2007. Delphi has 11 plants on the mainland including eight joint ventures and three wholly owned operations and has invested US$450 million in China since 1993.
