Walt Disney Studios is to shoot its first motion picture on the Chinese mainland, the company announced at a Beijing film convention Wednesday. The film, titled "The Secret of the Magic Gourd" will be a Chinese-language live-action feature based on a children's book written in 1958. The production is in cooperation with China Film Group Corp, a state-run company, and Hong Kong's Centro Digital Pictures. Disney will be the third Hollywood studio to produce a film with a Chinese partner, after Warner Bros and Sony's Columbia Pictures.
