China aims to increase air passenger volume by 11% to 220 million this year, compared to the 3.3% growth of last year. This according to the Ministry of Transport
The Ministry, on its website, said the volume of cargo and mail will grow by 8% to 4.37 million tons, compared with 0.2% growth of last year.
China’s civil aviation regulator will introduce policies to stimulate the domestic aviation industry.
The efforts include setting up express routes to compete with the high-speed railway to link Beijing and Shanghai, increasing the number of flights and bolstering regional airlines.
