[photopress:Sunyatsen.jpg, full, alignright]The University of Hawaii has received a $25 million donation from Jay Shidler. So now it is called the Shidler College of Business which seems fair enough. U.S. News and World Report ranks the graduate and undergraduate international business programs of this university in the top 25 in the United States.
With some of the donation the college will expand its China MBA program next fall and its partnership with Zhongshan, also known as Sun Yat Sen University, in Guangzhou. The donation will enable the business school to bring over students from China and, in a reverse process, allow students in Hawaii to take a year of Mandarin before attending classes in Guangzhou.
