Dow Corp is expanding its investment in China, possibly at the Zhangjiagang site in Jiangsu Province where its three plants produce latex, epoxy and polystyrene, Dow President Andrew Liveris told the China Daily. A coal-to-olefins pre-feasibility study is also under way in a partnership between Dow and the Shenhua Group, China's largest coal producer. The company also announced plans to establish a new R&D facility and a global information technology centre. Dow posted revenues of US$2.2bn last year from its Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan operations.
