Draft on ending pan-Pearl delta barriers

Guangdong said a new agreement removing trade barriers among the nine pan-delta economy provinces could be ready for signing by provincial commerce departments by October. Guangdong is drafting the text in consultation with the other provinces. The draft will address market access, company regulation, patent and counterfeiting issues, consumer rights and inter-governmental relations and communications. The document will not cover Macau and Hong Kong customs issues, which fall beyond the scope of inter-provincial relations.
