Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has delivered the first of five Embraer 190 aircraft to Kun Peng Airlines. The aircraft is configured to accommodate 98 passengers in two classes.
Embraer and Kun Peng Airlines have signed a five-year agreement to supply spare parts.
In 2003, Embraer created a joint venture with Chinese companies Harbin Aircraft and Hafei Aviation Industry, which are both controlled by China Aviation Industry Corporation II, Harbin Embraer Aircraft and the US airline Mesa Air. In July 2008 it placed a firm order for five Embraer 190 aircraft.
