European Union (EU) Trade Commissioner Pascal Lamy spoke about EU-China relations in Shanghai, praising them as the best in years, but raising concerns about China's adherence to World Trade Organization obligations. Lamy said the renminbi should move away from its peg to the dollar, adding that the peg was influencing a growing trade surplus with the EU.
