A major restructuring of China's telecom industry to allow fixed-line operators China Netcom and China Telecom to operate mobile networks has long been expected, but analysts believe it will not happen in the immediate future. Restructuring expectations and the management changes had little impact on share prices Tuesday in Hong Kong, with China Telecom shares at HK$4.95, up 0.6% Tuesday.
