Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg met with several of China’s top internet and technology leaders in Beijing, giving rise to speculation about the social networking site’s mainland ambitions, the Wall Street Journal reported. Zuckerberg, 26, independently met with Charles Chao, chief executive of Sina Corp (SINA.NASDAQ), and Wang Jianzhou, chairman of China Mobile (CHL.NYSE, 0941.HK), as well as Robin Li, head of Baidu (BIDU.NASDAQ). Facebook is still blocked on the mainland, but Zuckerberg had earlier suggested that the company was exploring avenues into the China market, saying he was looking to figure out the "right partnerships that we would need to do in China to succeed on our terms."
