Construction of a new passenger ferry terminal at Shenzhen's Bao An airport could start by the end of this year, according to Hong Kong's The Standard. In addition, the airport hopes to complete a second berth for cargo vessels of up to 1,000 tonnes by December.
The ferry port has already been approved by the mainland authorities but construction plans had not yet been confirmed, according to Shun Tak-China Travel Ship Management. The company recently launched a fastferry service between Bao An and Macau to augment an existing service that operates between the airport and Hong Kong.
