Forbes rich ratings risk death

Russell Flannery, Forbes magazine's man in Shanghai who composes the 10-year-old "China Rich List", said tracking China's 400 involves threats of violence and offers of bribery, reported the South China Morning Post. Often candidates want to stay off what is known as the "death list" as it can prompt official investigations and death for ill-gotten gains. The editor of the Forbes "Russia Rich List" was murdered outside his Moscow office last year.
