Four major Chinese airlines end ticket sales on top travel site

Four major Chinese airlines have all announced they will stop selling tickets on travel booking site Qunar.com due to customer complaints, Caixin reported, citing announcements from the companies. China Eastern Airlines, Air China, China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines pointed to growing customer complaints about overpriced tickets and excess charges levied by Qunar as among the chief reasons for ending sales on the site. An unnamed employee at one of the airlines quoted by the magazine blamed the spat on unscrupulous ticket sellers who abused the site’s sales system, but also said that Qunar has been slow to address the problems.
