[photopress:EM_Lyon_in_France.gif,full,alignright]The next two years look set to be busy times for EM Lyon Business School in China. The French business school, which has an office in Shanghai, is partnered with Zhejiang University in Hangzhou. This autumn, they will launch a project called ‘International Entrepreneurial’.
It is a think tank bringing together professors, experts and business professionals to research and discuss entrepreneurship. The event is very likely to include a third partner, US-based Babson College, according to EM Lyon.
Zhejiang University and EM Lyon will also set up research institutes in each other’s universities and run specific research on innovation, training business managers and managing small and family-sized businesses. As of this year, professors and researchers from EM Lyon can carry out their work in China.
In Autumn 2008 the two universities will start a joint master’s in international entrepreneurship, with the aim of developing major international projects and making the program an established global master’s.
They have already formed in-service training for the merging of SEB and SUPOR, two domestic appliance companies from France and China respectively, and hope their expertise will facilitate future mergers and acquistions between Chinese and foreign companies.
