German firm sues and wins

Germany-based oxygen analyzer manufacturer Enotec was awarded US$60,000 in damages by the Shenzhen Intermediate Court after the company sued its former Chinese distributor for trademark infringement and unethical business practices. Hua Kang Sheng Industry was ordered to pay damages and make a public apology to Enotec after the court found the company guilty of making products bearing a trademark similar to Enotec and faking certification documents. Hua Kang Sheng was an Enotec distributor between 1998 and 2002.
