Shanghai GM has started recalling 27,168 of its Buick Regal 2.0 models made between December '02 and October this year to fix defective vacuum hoses. The company said vibration can loosen seals and affect braking, requiring drivers to apply more pressure on the pedal. Only three minor accidents arising from the defect have been reported to date, GM said. Since recall regulations went into effect for the first time on October 1, manufacturers have recalled over 300,000 vehicles. Shanghai GM did not say what the Buick recall would cost the company.
