Google China and Tianya.cn, the country's largest internet forum operator, accounced the launch of two new jointly developed web sites on Monday, according to China Securities News (in Chinese). Through the two new sites, Tianya Q&A and Tianya Post Club, Google aims to compete with similar services offered by Baidu, its main competitor in the mainland search-engine market. Google will provide technical support, while Tianya will be responsible for administering and promoting the sites.
