Google licensed for China office

The Associated Press reported Google Inc has obtained a license to operate a representative office in China, which would host meetings for visiting workers, setting the wheels in motion for the search engine's entree into the world's second largest Internet market after the US. Google's web site listed a job opening this week for a marketing communications manager in the Mainland.
