Google will target Chinese mobile internet users as it develops new products tailored to the local market, Reuters reported. The company will aim to cater Chinese people going online via mobile devices rather than PCs over the next few years, as 3G and other technologies become pervasive in the country, said Lee Kai-fu, Google China's president. The internet search giant is already making investments in a range of Chinese companies from multimedia software to social networking firms, Lee said. China has approximately 500 million mobile communications devices subscribers in China and about 172 million internet users.
