Greece and China have agreed to cooperate in developing tourism between the two countries. Greek Culture and Tourism Minister Pavlos Geroulanos has signed an agreement with the vice chairman of China’s National Tourism Authority and head of the Chinese delegation Jiang Du to work together in the tourism sector.
The two sides agreed, among other things, to encourage the start of direct air linkage between the two countries, the single action most likely to encourage tourism to Greece.
"Cultures Crossroads 2013" in Thessaloniki will have China as the theme country, and China has committed itself to backing the event with a considerable presence.
China.org.cn reports that special reference was made to the Greek state’s considerable efforts to make getting a visa easier for Chinese visitors.
