Grenada is willing to enhance tourism cooperation with east China’s Jiangxi Province, visiting Grenadian Prime Minister Tillman Thomas said while on an official visit.
What is the connection? Well, Tillman Thomas when meeting with Jiangxi Governor Wu Xinxiong said both Grenada and Jiangxi attach great importance to the development of tourism, environmental protection and ecological balance, which means great potentials for cooperation in these regards.
He is keen that more Chinese tourists should visit the Caribbean and Grenada.
China View said Prime Minister Tillman Thomas was visiting China at the invitation of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.
While the distinguished visitor can point out the similarities between the two perhaps it is worth mentioning that Grenada is 344 square kilometres with an estimated population of 110,000, China is 9.6 million square kilometres and has over 1.3 billion people, approximately one-fifth of the world’s population.
However, Grenada is, according to experts who know the area, the most attractive destination in the Caribbean so perhaps Tillman Thomas is in with a fighting chance although one should not bet on it.
