Hainan Airlines has launched its first direct flight connecting Beijing to Dubai which will operate twice a week.
Hainan was founded and began operations on May 2 1993 in Hainan Province, the largest special economic zone in China. It has a modern fleet of Boeing 737 & 767 aircraft, as well as Airbus A330 & A340.
From its original hub at Haikou, Hainan has expanded into seven additional domestic hubs at Beijing, Xi’an, Taiyuan, Urumqi, Guangzhou, Lanzhou and Dalian. Its International network now includes Seattle, Moscow, Brussels, Berlin, and Budapest and they fly to over 90 cities in China and around the world.
Zawya, the Dubai based news agency, said in a release that Hainan places great importance on its customer service levels, both on the ground and in the air. In 2008 it was awarded the ‘Best Airline in China’ award by Global Traveler in their GT-tested reader survey.
