Hainan Airlines offers new service to Toronto

In November, Hainan Airlines will begin direct, non-stop service between Toronto and Beijing.
This new service will be operating three flights per week using an Airbus A340.
Toronto airport is unusual in that it is run by the Greater Toronto Airport Authority or the GTAA, a non-share, not for profit authority. All revenue generated by the GTAA is reinvested back into the airport.
Aviation.ca reports that in 2009, 30.4 million passengers travelled through Toronto Pearson.
