Hainan Airlines
Hainan Airlines, a leading civil aviation business of China, has joined with Shin Kong Life Insurance, in establishing a new life insurance company.
Hainan Airlines and Shin Kong Life will put RMB250 million each into the Shin Kong & Hainan Airlines Life Insurance as registered capital.
Prior to Hainan Airlines, China’s three leading airline companies, Air China, China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines had movedinto the insurance industry by setting joint ventures with ROK’s Samsung Life Insurance and Taiwan-headquartered Cathay Life Insurance ife Insurance respectively or acquiring equities of Sunshine Property and Casualty Insurance.
