Hewlett-Packard unveils software centre

Hewlett-Packard opened a China software research and development centre in Shanghai in May. Dave Millar, the North Asia manager of the US computing giant’s e-solutions division, said that the centre was the fourth of its kind in the world and its first in the North Asia region. The centre, housed in offices in Pudong’s Jinqiao area, plans to increase the number of its qualified specialists from 50 to more than 2,000 in the next five years.
