Japan's Honda Motor plans to invest at least Yn190m to expand annual production capacity at Dongfeng Honda Engine from 120,000 to 300,000 units a year, Bloomberg reported. The increase in production at the joint venture in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, will meet demand from Honda's second plant in China, currently being built in Guangzhou's export zone. The company says that the new plant will have an initial capacity of 50,000 units, starting with a model based on the Fit compact model.
