Huawei accuses US of hacking into its servers

In addition to the lawsuit Huawei Technologies has filed against the US government for the federal ban on company gear, the Chinese company has also accused the US of previously hacking into its servers, said the South China Morning Post.

“The US government has long branded Huawei as a threat. It has hacked our servers and stolen our emails and source code,” said Guo Ping Huawei’s rotating Chairman, at a press conference in Shenzhen announcing the lawsuit against the US.

According to the Financial Times, Guo stated that reasons for US attack on Huawei can be found in former US government contractor Edward Snowden’s leaked documents about National Security Agency (NSA) activities.
