Huawei Technologies’ handset subsidiary Huawei Device shipped over 10 million mobile phones in China between January and August.
Inexpensive smartphones retailing at RMB1,000 to RMB2,000 (US$150.55 to US$301) made up a large portion of the devices.
The company also shipped 19.15 milion end-user products, which include mobile broadband and video communications devices. Which means it is growing in this area by 24.2% year-on-year.
TelecomPaper reports that Huawei’s revenue from end-user devices in August came to RMB7 billion (US$1.05 billion).
