Technologies, China’s largest telecoms supplier, will launch its flagship products in the US next year as it ramps up its overseas expansion plan. The company is seeking a US partner to distribute its products and predicting an 81 percent jump in overseas sales to US$1 billion this year. Huawei provides equipment to Russia, Thailand and Latin America and also operates a JV with Germany’s Siemens developing China’s home-grown third generation telecom standard, TD-SCDMA. The overseas expansion comes soon after Huawei and Cisco Systems agreed to suspend a patent lawsuit for six months. Cisco, the largest router and switch maker in the US, accused Huawei of infringing on several patents.
