The Indian subsidiary of Huawei Technologies plans to hire 900 more staff, bringing total staff numbers at its R&D facility in Bangalore to 1,500. At the same time, the firm plans to move its Indian operation from the premises it currently rents in the city to a new campus environment.
Huawei is a telecoms network solutions provider and the new staff will be working on the next-generation intelligent network that uses software-based switches, replacing the hardware switches currently in use in telecoms networks globally.
