Imax signs China multiplex deal

Giant format movie maker Imax Corp announced it had signed a deal to install its big screen cinema systems at six mulltiplexes in China over the next four years. The multiplexes are all operated by Lark International Multimedia. Financial details and the specific location of the cinemas were not disclosed. Ontario-based Imax said the contract was the largest multi-theater deal it has ever signed in Asia, increasing the number of Imax theaters scheduled to be open in China by 2008 to 19.
