Increased wages, escaped crocodiles, drunk drivers, and a botched mine robbery

China-related numbers from the last week

Some China-related numbers from the past week:

6.7%: The percentage by which wages in China are expected increase in 2010 according to Hewitt Associates. This is up from the 4.5% growth in 2009.

46: The number of crocodiles that escaped from a crocodile farm in Wanning, Hainan province on October 21. 
4,300: The number of drunk drivers arrested over the two months in Zhejiang province.
 
10: The number of deaths resulting from a botched coal mine robbery in northern China. The robbers snuck into the mine looking to steal equipment, cables, and metal railings. The mine had already been shut down due to safety concerns.
