Indian officials said they are willing to hold talks with their Chinese counterparts over a ban on Chinese toy imports, Reuters reported. India banned a range of Chinese-made toys last month in what it called "the public interest," but did not provide details. "We are open to any discussions on this matter and until the government of India is satisfied we will not be able to lift this ban," said Indian Trade Minister Kamal Nath. Chinese officials have warned that the bans could harm ties between the countries. Reports in Chinese state media suggest China may ask the WTO to adjudicate on the toy ban.
