India tests nuclear-capable missile that can hit Shanghai

India successfully tested a nuclear-capable missile that can hit targets deep in China, AFP reported. India’s defense ministry announced the successful third test of the Agni-III missile, which has a 3,000 km range and can carry conventional or nuclear payloads of 1.5 tons. This puts major Chinese cities, like Shanghai, within the missile’s range. The missile was developed as part of India’s defense strategy against China and Pakistan, analysts said.
