Industrial output climbs in April

China’s industrial output rose by 12.1 per cent year-on-year in April, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. The rise over the first four months of the year was 11.2 per cent year-on-year. Output of state firms was 10.9 per cent higher in April than in the same month of 2001, while foreign-invested firms’ output rose by 13 per cent.
