JAL opens Hotel Nikko Wuxi

JAL Hotels has opened Hotel Nikko Wuxi, a new luxury hotel with five-star international facilities and services.
The hotel, built along a very old canal that is to become a UNESCO World Heritage site, is conveniently situated in central Wuxi. With a population of 4.6 million, Wuxi is the center of China’s Jiangnan region waterways and the site of 3,000 years of cultural heritage.
Hotel Nikko Wuxi has 499 guest rooms with all the usual technological amenities.
Travel Daily News reports that the hotel has a 6,400-square-foot ballroom, the city’s largest, which can hold 320 guests, banquet-style. It also offers seven additional meeting and function rooms, making Hotel Nikko Wuxi a MICE hotel — a venue for meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions. The hotel is a 25-minute-drive from Wuxi’s international airport. A high-speed train shortens the two-hour car ride from Shanghai to 40 minutes.
