Japan and China have agreed to patch their rifts ahead of a visit by Japanese Foreign Minister Nobutaka Machimura to Beijing expected in April, AFP reported, citing an unnamed Japanese official. Meanwhile, the Japanese Defense Agency warned of China's military buildup and said regional security could face uncertainty if the EU lifts its arms ban against China.
