US infant-food maker Mead Johnson Nutrition (MJN.NYSE) is currently investigating whether bribes have been paid by its Chinese unit, Bloomberg reported, citing a company statement on Thursday. The company, which gets almost a third of sales from China, started the voluntary probe as the Chinese unit is possible violating Chinese and US law. A number of European and US companies have come under investigation recently. Mead Johnson Nutrition, which makes the Enfamil formula products, was fined US$109 million (RMB670 million) in August along with five other dairy companies for fixing prices in China.
