JV to supply water in Shandong

Salcon unit Salcon Water signed an agreement with the Shandong provincial government to establish a US$3 million water supply joint venture with Linyi Municipality Water Supply, according to Chinese media reports. Salcon Water, Malaysia-based Salcon's Hong Kong unit, will hold a 60% stake in the joint venture, which will set up water supply facilities and upgrade a water treatment plant in Shandong under a 30-year contract. Projects include construction of a US$36.1 million water supply plant with a production capacity of 300 million liters per day.
