In a bid to move away from the film-based industry to the fast-growing digital arena, Eastman Kodak said by the end of this year, it would reduce output and staff at its Xiamen plant, the firm's largest production base in Asia, state media reported, citing Ying Yeh, vice-president of Kodak Global and chairwoman of the Kodak Greater China Region. Yeh said China is important to Kodak's growth plans and remains a key link in Kodak's global supply chain.
