[photopress:300_600_korean.jpg,full,alignright]Korean Air has started regular cargo flight operations between Incheon and Qingdao in China. The carrier will operate a A300-600 freighter on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays on the route.

In a statement it said: ‘Korean Air has provided cargo service to Qingdao using passenger planes since 1994, but with the start of four times a week regular freighter operations, it will greatly expand and strengthen its cargo services.’

With the addition of Qingdao, Korean Air cargo destinations in China have increased to seven. The others are Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, Guangzhou and Hangzhou.

In September, Korean Air signed a contract with Sinotrans Air Transportation Development, a subsidiary of Sinotrans Group, China’s biggest logistics company, to set up a joint cargo venture in China.
