Another Foxconn employee committed suicide at the electronics giant’s Shenzhen manufacturing facility, state media reported. A 21-year-old man jumped off a four-story factory building in the tenth such suicide at the factory this year. The tragedy occured just two days after Shenzhen’s deputy mayor Li Ming launched a special investigation into the recent spate of suicides. "In Foxconn’s more than 20 years of history, we’ve never had anything like this," said Liu Kun, Foxconn China spokesman. US-based group China Labor Watch said a recent survey found workers at Foxconn complaining about the pressures of their working environment. Foxconn, one of the world’s largest contract makers of smartphones, PCs and other digital equipment, employs 300,000 people at its Longhua, Shenzhen facility.
